Let there be sun....

A few quick shots.

My beautiful girl.....

Every single one of these images make my heart sing!!! This shoot is probably my favorite to date. After processing these images, I told Dave (my wonderful husband and biggest supporter) this is my style. This is what inspires me and what I want to do more of!

I saw this abandoned house a couple of weeks ago and have been wanting to make it back there. I bribed Kiana into this shoot yesterday by saying,"we would take them to Monsters vs. Aliens in the afternoon if she did this for me." She agreed but I have to say she has turned into such a prissy girl. She hated the house and didn't want to touch a thing. She complained about the smell! I just laughed and said, "where did your sense of adventure go?" Connor on the other hand was running around like a mad man having a ball, picking up cool garbage. LOL Climbing all over the tires.

Kiana did a lot better away from the house. It was actually raining a little. I kept trying to hold a jacket over my camera. Kiana is my favorite person in the world to photograph. As you can see, even though she wasn't really into it, she take take a great picture. Yeah, and obviously I am her proud momma. :)

Con-man

Okay....so my little man turned six last month. Yes, it is killing me!!! I would love for him to stay little forever. I can't get enough of of him. He makes me laugh every day....[just like his daddy]!! He melts my heart and I adore him.

Today we took the kids swimming at Givens Hot Springs. I hadn't been there in something like eighteen years. I don't think they have done a thing to the place in the last two decades. It didn't seem to matter to the kids though, they loved it and we had a great family day.

This session with Connor was taken about three weeks ago. I have driven by this location so many times and have always wanted to do a shoot there. Con was being his cute, sweet, silly self.

Jamey and Jamie...

are dear friends of ours. I always tell Jamie, "I feel so fortunate that our paths crossed." She adds so much to my life. Our husbands worked together years ago and we all became fast friends. Their little guy, Brooks is featured several times throughout my blog. He is an absolute doll and immediately became the light of their life. I hope you enjoy this preview and thanks for intrusting me with your memories!

I can't believe...

I have neglected my blog for so long. It has been a long winter. I keep saying, "I just want the sun to come out so my life can start up again." Maybe it is because I love photographing outside or maybe we have just had more of an inversion than most years. But I have to admit, this winter has drove me a little crazy. However.....the SUN came out this week. The weather is beautiful and I am sooooo Happy! I even got up and worked out three times this week. That hasn't happened all winter. I am sore but happy! LOL

These images are of my beautiful friend Sarah. She is one of my favorite people on this planet. She wanted to give her husband a picture of her for their ten year anniversary this May. She never had bridal images done and wanted to try doing a few in her wedding dress. Okay...so the other thing is....she is also five months pregnant with their fifth child. And, yes she can still fit into her wedding dress. It was ever so slightly tight and we laughed about it. But my goodness isn't that amazing! Sarah, I hope you love the images as much as I do and I hope Dan loves the one you pick out for him!










This one is my favorite. It really captured Sarah's beautiful spirit.

Kiana gave me 5 minutes in front of the camera today. We did both of these shots in my living room next to three large windows. I love the natural light in this room. I can't decide if I like these images close up or farther away. You will have to tell me what you like best.
